Fandana Festival 2013 Partner & Play Official Rules

Looking to play at Fandana Festival?

There are currently two available options for artists seeking a spot at Fandana Festival. Both require the purchase, or sale, of twenty (20) general admission full event passes to Fandana 2013. All registrants must complete the online registration form, submit full payment corresponding to their option choice, and sign the Fandana 2013 Partner and Play Agreement before any band’s online sales are activated. Please see below for more information on each option.

Option 1:

Bands choosing the first option will be required to purchase an initial ten (10) general admission tickets at $48 each, totaling an initial deposit of $480 made payable to Fandana Festival. Artists are encouraged to resell their tickets to friends, family, and fans in order to recoup their investment. Once the online registration form, payment, and signed agreement are received by Fandana staff, a unique link and/or code will be given to each artist in order to track the remaining ticket sales. All artists must sell at least ten (10) additional general admission full event passes through this link. No ticket sales may be backtracked; therefore, artists must be sure to have their friends and family use the correct link to qualify for partner and play sales.

Once the total twenty (20) tickets have been accounted for by Fandana staff, the band will be guaranteed a spot at Fandana 2012 on one of the festival days. Artists will select their time slots on a first-come, first-served basis; the first to qualify by completing registration and their total ticket sales through option 1 or 2 will be the first to select.  Available slot times will be offered to artists based on this order at a later date and each artist will have 24 hours to confirm which slot they would like to perform. This process will begin approximately July 10, 2012. Any artist who does not respond within the 24 hour time period will relinquish their right to select a slot, and be assigned one instead.

 

Option 2:

Bands choosing the second option will be given the opportunity to make a small profit on their investment. In Option 2, bands purchase their twenty (20) general admission tickets for a discounted rate of $32.50 each, totaling a full deposit of $650 made payable to Fandana Festival. Artists are encouraged to resell their tickets to friends, family, and fans at their full market value ($48 each) in order to gain monetary benefits and ensure a small “guarantee” or travel money for their festival performance. Artists are also able to sell the tickets at discounted rates, if desired. Once the online registration form, full payment, and signed agreement are received by Fandana staff, a unique link and/or code will be given to each artist in order to track any additional artist sales and the band will be guaranteed a spot at Fandana 2013 on one of the festival days. No ticket sales may be backtracked; therefore, artists must be sure to have their friends and family use the correct link to qualify for partner and play sales counted towards the competition.

Artists will select their time slots; the first to qualify by completing registration and their total ticket sales through either option 1 or 2, will be the first to select.  Available slot times will be offered to artists based on this order at a later date and each artist will have 24 hours to confirm which slot they would like to perform. This process will begin approximately July 10, 2013 and will be completed by about July 30, 2013. Any artist who does not respond within the 24 hour time period will relinquish their right to select a slot, and be assigned one instead.

 

Qualifying Tickets:

In order to qualify, the initial 20 tickets must all be general admission full event festival passes. After the initial 20, General Admission Full Event Passes will count as one (1) ticket sold and General Admission One-Day Only Passes will count as one-half (1/2) ticket sold. Participants must sell at least 5 additional (25 total) tickets to qualify for the “most tickets sold” prize.

 

Discount Options:

Fandana has made discounts available to certain qualifying participants:

1)   If the artist has participated in the Fandana partner & play program in a previous year (2011 or 2012), they will be granted a $100 discount.

2)   If an artist is able to recruit another participant to join the partner & play program, each entrant will be granted a $50 discount, with a maximum of four (4) bands recruited. The “recruited” artist must not have already been a Fandana partner & play participant or been in regular contact with Fandana staff.

3)   If all individuals participating under artist name volunteer for one (1) 5-hour shifts during the festival weekend, one free meal voucher will be granted to each individual after volunteer shift.

4)   If all individuals participating under artist name volunteer for two (2) 5-hour shifts during the festival weekend, two free meal vouchers will be granted to each individual; one after the first volunteer shift and the other after the second volunteer shift.

 

Prizes:

All participants in the partner and play program are welcome to opt-in to the Fandana Festival competition for the Christian Festival Association’s National Talent Search. Only those that opt-in qualify for the Fandana talent competition, but all partner and play participants are entered in to attempt to win the “most tickets sold” prizes.

 

 

The Fandana competition winner will be awarded:

-       a programmed Red (Main) Stage spot at Fandana 2014

-       a Sweetwater Music Instruments & Pro Audio (Fort Wayne, IN) $300 shopping spree

-       a professional 3-song multi-track recording with mixing

-       a 2013 Red (Main) Stage announcement of their entry into the CFA’s National Talent Search. Prizes for winning their competition can be found at: <www.cfatalentsearch.com>

The Fandana competition runner-up will be awarded:

-       a programmed spot at Fandana 2014

-       a Sweetwater Music Instruments & Pro Audio (Fort Wayne, IN) $200 shopping spree

The Fandana competition third-place winner will be awarded:

-       a Sweetwater Music Instruments & Pro Audio (Fort Wayne, IN) $100 shopping spree

The Fandana competition fourth-place winner will be awarded:

-       a Sweetwater Music Instruments & Pro Audio (Fort Wayne, IN) $50 shopping spree

The Fandana competition fifth-place winner will be awarded:

-       a Sweetwater Music Instruments & Pro Audio (Fort Wayne, IN) $25 shopping spree

The participant that sells the most total tickets, if over 25 total, via their unique link will be awarded:

-       a Sweetwater Music Instruments & Pro Audio (Fort Wayne, IN) $250 shopping spree

The participant that sells the second most total tickets, if over thirty (30) total, via their unique link will be awarded:

-       a Sweetwater Music Instruments & Pro Audio (Fort Wayne, IN) $150 shopping spree

 

 

All artists will be notified by e-mail once registration and payment are complete and their spot is guaranteed. Bands are subject to Fandana Festival management approval and will be asked to thoroughly read and then sign the partner and play agreement.
